Glacial Rock Flour: McKenzie River (locally sourced) 6 lb tubs

$ 2.65

Approved for organic production as a mined mineral (though may not be currently listed by OMRI etc.).

There is a story behind these.  Local compost-wizard Shep Smith (of SoilSmith Services) found almost a truckload of these tubs at an estate sale years ago - packaged by a company that went out of business or perhaps never got off the ground.  He bought them all and distributed them for years, then sold his remaining inventory to Concentrates where they will continue to be available until they run out.

Yes, it's a high ratio of plastic to product, but no new plastic is being produced at this point.  Consider it a thrift-store find and maybe a collectible bucket :-).

Natural basalt and andesite rock flour from the Oregon Cascades.

Naturally replenishes depleted soil minerals; stimulates plant growth.

Use on flowers, gardens, shrubs, lawns, and compost piles

A natural mineral product produced by thousands of years of glacial action. A wide variety of rocks containing a spectrum of trace minerals are collected and pulverized by the expansion/contraction action of the glacier. It replaces key soil elements, reversing soil depletion.  Source of slow-release calcium, iron, magnesium and potassium plus trace elements and micronutrients. Increases phosphorus availability and improves cation exchange capacity (CEC). Contains a broad range of trace minerals...minerals which have been slowly lost through the ages, by erosion and rain leaching. Apply 1-2 lbs per 100 sq ft
